Alburnett Children's Benefit Day

Alburnett Children's Benefit Day is organized by the Alburnett Diamond Club to benefit community children in need.  The annual event is held in downtown Alburnett on the first Saturday in August.

  • 7:00 am - 9:30 am - Pancake Breakfast at Farmers State Bank Parking Lot. Sponsored by the Alburnett Community School District Foundation.

  • 8:00 am - Pirate Dash, 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Fun Run. Sponsored by the Alburnett Community School District Foundation.

  • 9:00 am - Bake Sale in Rockwood Store. Sponsored by the Alburnett Historical Society.

  • 9:00 am - 4:00 pm - Silent Auction at Rockwood Store. Please check bids at 4:30.
    The Rockwood store will remain open to the public until 10:00 pm (A/C and public restrooms available).

  • 10:00 am - Children's Benefit Day Parade - No four wheelers

  • 11:00 am - 4:00 pm - H&H attractions - Climbing rock wall, train, fast pitch, obstacle course.

  • After parade - Bingo, next to Farmers State Bank. Sponsored by the Alburnett Community School District Foundation.

  • 12:00 Noon - Horseshoe Tournament

  • 12:00 Noon - Tractor and Local Truck Pull ($5.00 admission, 12 & under free)

  • Co-Ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament

  • 1:00 pm - Kiddie Tractor Pull

  • 3:00 pm - Catch a Chicken - Ages youth to adult.

  • Alburnett Fire Department - Activities for the children

  • 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm - Karaoke on Main Street

  • 8:00 pm - Cedar Rapids Spirits - Performance prior to street dance

  • 8:00 pm to Midnight - Street Dance, music by "Ramblin' Fever"

  • Approximately 10:00 pm - Fireworks Display by J&M display. Sponsored by Advanced Systems Cleaning, Inc: Mark Fulmer.

  • Raffle drawing following fireworks

  • Food and Beer Tent all day long, Dairy Queen cart, funnel cakes.

Information booth will have Benefit Day t-shirts, wristbands and raffle tickets for sale all day.
